Meet the maker
I have always had a longing to find a creative outlet, but I have never really found the platform to express that fully before. Along came Covid and a level 5 lock down and a whole lot of extra time on my hands. Then while scrolling a bit mindlessly online I came across a video on how to make a rope bag and I had a moment of …I can do that! I suppose here I should say ‘and the rest was history’, except not quite… it has been a wonderful journey of experimenting and working on new ideas, figuring out aspects of this business that I wouldn’t have thought about and mostly getting such joy from creating unique pieces for incredible clients.
My nickname growing up was Binx. Then the word twine of course representing the materials of the cotton rope and thread. So binx&twine seemed a fitting name for this new venture! I love using the natural fiber of cotton, knowing that it is locally sourced and has better sustainability then using other materials.
I am a one woman show, handling everything about my home-based business from chatting directly with clients, sourcing the highest quality and most eco-friendly materials to sewing, tagging and shipping. For this reason, products may take a bit longer then if you walked into a shop to buy them but what you will receive in return is an item that has been handcrafted with care, something unique and thoughtfully made.
